Official this morning - they will be headlining the Grammy's next month. Hope Stewart doesn't dislocate and elbow. Or Andy all coked up falls and breaks a hip. Or Sting the tantric man can't get his wood down! None the less I'm excited to see what they come up with by way of new music.

Beyond Sweet - photo's and details of Troy's most lovely wedding to follow:

Every little thing The Police ever did was magic to the band's fans. On Wednesday, Vancouver's Rock 101 FM's Bro' Jake Show reported that the '80s rockers were rehearsing at North Vancouver's Lions Gate Studios, preparing for a highly-anticipated 30-year reunion tour.

No one was available officially to confirm or deny the report. A receptionist would only allow that "there have been a lot of calls this morning."

Rock 101 received unconfirmed reports Wednesday night that two large semis arrived at the studio and started unloading gear marked with Police logos and those of its former lead singer, Sting. The radio station reported some Sting sightings on the slopes of Whistler yesterday, too.

Rumours of the platinum-selling, platinum-blond act returning to the stage to perform have circulated since March 2003, when the Police last played together at their induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland.

They heated up again last month when a story in UK paper Daily News reported that the group would tour this summer in celebration of the 30th anniversary of the release of its first major single, "Roxanne."

On Jan. 14, Sting pretty much admitted to a coming tour when he told the Television Critics Association that all former members were talking.

"We started 30 years ago, so it would be nice to do something to celebrate," Sting is quoted as saying. "We don't quite know what, but we're talking about it."

Talk of a The Police presence at the Grammy telecast on Feb. 11 from Los Angeles' Staples Center is also circulating.

If The Police are indeed rehearsing in Vancouver, it joins a growing list of superstars using the city as a pre-tour practice and opening-night locale.

U2 and the Rolling Stones used GM Place for rehearsal space in 2006, while Nickelback and Foo Fighters have used Pacific Coliseum. Bob Dylan spent four days over Thanksgiving at the Commodore. Country singer Dierks Bentley recently holed up at Pacific Coliseum before beginning his latest tour. Previous years have seen Janet Jackson, Aerosmith and others take advantage of Vancouver's relative anonymity and world-class technical crews.

Hmm will he go back to back? I'm thinking so - and thinking Vancouver wins. It'll be a close one; but I tend to believe that Loui does it again. This guy is a monster - one of the best I've ever had the pleasure of watching.

Well a post without commas. Fucking Mac.

All's well in Hiram and I's world. Returned home yesterday after watching the Nucks shit the bed vs. Minny. Alas - they were stunning in TO. Scary thought today though - Loui taking a puck off the adams apple; after almost being killed golfing in Van. Maybe we are a true goalie graveyard. Loved my time in Van - catching up with the peeps - watching fools on the road and meeting a lovely new friend. Must comment on an oddity though. Came home and didn't feel wonky or depressed. Was in fact happy to arrive home - cook - light a fire etc. Must be getting old I suppose. Home is where the heart is maybe. Work as usual is nuts - 27 new job postings on the board - so newbies must be on the radar. None the less - this lack of commas is pissing me off; and curbing my usual (I like it) flow. I feeling goofy about one other issue however - so I'll just let my blog audience know I have Hiram's permission to post his image here. Sorry again to the peep involved.

Today's post brought to you by:

Well, let the countdown begin. Only two more 'sleep-overs' AKA night shifts before heading down to wind ravaged Vancouver to chill, hang with peeps and watch my beloved Canucks. Will be neat to be there watching them go for eight straight wins (albeit in the shoot-out age) against the oh so boring Wild. None the less, shall be fun. Found out my seats aren't quite behind the bench, rather down a section. Could care less though, fifth row's fifth row. Nice to see Nazzy get the monkey off his back last night, and found myself wondering this: 'How good is this Bieksa kid?' I mean really, this kid is one hell of an addition at half a million per. Nice find there Scouts. Now go find more!

Lui gets the back to back - prediction time. Nucks 5-3 winners over Deadmonton.
Well, well - boys are rolling along quite nicely at the moment. Seems I'll be sitting in the fifth row behind the bench for the game vs. Minn. on the 11th. It's gonna be some sweet ass action. Laundered the beer out of the old jersey last night, so she's ready to be worn with pride. Loud I will be, though it's gonna be odd not being able to do my imfamous 'Crow-Call.' I'll have to scour my wee brain for something new and exciting to bring.
