Hear an interesting tidbit re the Beijing games on my way back from physio this morning. It seems the Chinese gov. have seen fit to close all of the restaurants that have traditionally served dog meat in their dishes because it would not appeal to Western sensibilities. Which brings us to this though: are the pork dishes banned to appeal to the Muslims, are the beef plates sidelined to ease the Hindu's concerns. I wonder why, in this big old globe of ours, everyone kneels down to the West.

I agree. I don't see the problem with the eating of dogs as opposed to any other meat. But, having said that, the Chinese government is trying to soften the country's appeal to the rest of the world. Unfortunately, the western world is full of hypocrites that eat only certain types of meats.
China is a model, not as much as Cuba but still a model, for the rest of the world to follow (having said that, most nations have something for others to learn from). Don't go giving me any human rights complaints. Who are we to criticize when you see the way poverty stricken, homeless, mentally ill, mentally retarded and the elderly are treated here in our own backyards.
Also, those dead dogs look like the Resident Evil dogs. I saw the third one, Extinction, last night and it is awesome. Milla Jovovich is the greatest in the world. And her and Ali Larter in the same movie = one of the greatest movies ever made. But, still, the first two are even better.
