Just found this comment about Pratt and Taylor while perusing the interweb:
I got out of radio and TV many moons ago because of the ridiculous egos.
Radio people thought they belonged on TV and TV people felt they were moments
away from the national desks or movies.
Professional shills who would sell their souls for exposure or freebies.
Eventually, they all end up opening car dealerships or shopping centers with
a PA system and a van well into their 60s, hoping the wind doesn't blow off
their wigs while they try to flirt with the women. Then it's home to the
trailer and the daily gaze at the .38 sitting in the desk drawer while
unscrewing the scotch bottle.
Everything you need to know about media people can be found on the Simpsons.
Oh man - that's some good stuff.

No doubt. And the picture you have is perfect because those are exactly the two people in this market that really think they're something else; no matter what they say to defend themselves. Taylor will sometimes catch himself making his post to be more important than it is, and then he'll try to backtrack as if he meant it as a joke.
Sports media is such a useless venture. This medium is why I hold nothing against the likes of Bertuzzi, Bonds, Bedard and others who dislike doing interviews.
After games there should be one camera, one radio mic and one interviewer to talk to any and all players; they can have an audio visual feed into a large room with all the other "reporters". That's the way I'd run a team.
Ron....why are you such a hater man?
*grin*
