Currently watching a hockey game, where I see versions of these ads over and over. I wonder how many of our youth get caught up in the wonderful production values that these ads contain, and adrenaline pumping, sign right up?

These ads are awesome! I think it's a great thing. If I was young again I'd likely join the military. There's nothing wrong with the military or their role. Unfortunately, a good military and it's soldiers are trained (better than any in society) to follow orders from their superiors. Actually, that's not unfortunate at all and I think we could all be better if we were like that. The real unfortunate circumstance is that it's idiot governments that are the military's commanders. Our Conservative government has no vision or sense of reality as we follow the idiot American government.
I loved what Chretien was doing in his last two years in office (and Martin continued to a lesser extent). Chretien ruled with a soft compassionate fist and did the right thing at nearly every turn for two years. God bless him for it.
So, to sum up, the military is a beautiful thing and I think we should go the route of many countries throughout the world and make service mandatory for at least two years. Also, we must get rid of the current government. And if the new one doesn't work out, maybe it's time for the military to take the country into their own hands and place a non-elected leader at the top (i.e. Therzo).
Viva le Revolution!!!
I just saw this on the big screen. If you don't hear from me again it's cause I joined the army.
